The Last Day in NY

As we are now nearer the action we decided to spend the whole day on foot. We first went over to Columbia University to have a wander around. This obviously was my idea. It was very nice, a very smart looking university right in Manhattan. It's Ivy League and has Brian Greene as a Professor of Physics. Very impressive.

From there we went back to Central Park to visit the south side of the park and grab some more caches. Second visit to the park, still very nice.

When we hit the town again we stumbled upon the 5th Avenue Apple store. We got to play with an iPad. I still don't get it. It's a big iPod. Very flashy but doesn't do anything that Diane (my netbook) can't. Also the ebook part, which seems to be a big thing about it is still reading on an lcd screen. Review in one word: eh.

Anywho, after the Apple store we wandered over to the Rockefeller Center.

then over to the United Nations.

From there we headed back north via Broadway to Central Park and back to the hostel. On route we grabbed a couple more caches, at one of which we were accosted by an NYPD officer who wanted to know what we were doing. After explaining caching and showing him my phone etc, he realised that we are harmless :)

Tomorrow is a big day; picking up the car. Let the road trip begin.

Cube out.
