We spent most of the day caching. Thirteen in total, mostly in the South but we found four i Central Park after moving to another hostel just north of there. We came across the 'Frederic Douglas Circle' which we all know as a roundabout. I think it's an attraction that people come and stare at and try to figure out how it works. Right next to it was a BP garage, if they weren't driving on the wrong side of the road I'd have believed we were back home.

Central Park is an amazing sanctuary right in the middle of the island. It was weire walking through a large park, around lakes then looking up aernd seeing a skyscraper sticking up from behind the trees. This is where all the cyclists and joggers come to exercise as they go around the many paths and lanes that run around the park.

Life runs at a different pace to the rest of the city with people strolling about or lazing in the lovely sun we had again. It was nice to be in an open space for the first time in a few days.

It was nice seeing the common wildlife in the park that we don't have in England. The most frequent being what looked like a blackbird but with a red/ orange breast like a robbin. Of course they share some wildlife with us like ducks, geese and the grey squirrel.

Back at the hostel I finished with Miley and moved onto my first Neil Gaimen book. I'm not upset about leaving her behind.

  1. Are you going to explain the Miley motivation to those of us who aren't in on the joke?!
