(reporting on the 7th)

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Yeah I don't really know anything about it either, but it seems to be a fairly big deal over here. Its about Mexican heritage, celebrating a battle against the French according to Wikipedia.

Another driving day, so not all that much to say. We have entered California and were asked of we were stowing away any fruit or veg, strange. Petrol is expensive here, over $3 a gallon! After about 6 hours on the road we got down to San Diego and went down to the most southerly area of the West coast. We were wandering through a nature reserve without much around us but could see the boarder with Mexico, past which is a busy town with major roads and police sirens. It is a very abrupt boarder, the Mexican town just stops and there is just the nature reserve on the US side. There were always three helicopters in the air patrolling the area, I guess we don't look too much like boarder jumpers as they didn't pay us much attention.

We have successfully reached the Pacific! Which means we have crossed the whole of the United States. Pretty cool :)

Cube out
