Today we woke up to snow, although it didn't feel as cold as yesterday morning did. A fairly simple morning, we got our stuff together and headed out. We both needed to get to the internet to sort some stuff out, so we headed towards Vegas with the aim of stopping at McDonalds for breakfast and wifi. We organised our stay in Vegas, no Wal-mart carpark this time, we are staying in a hotel. A damn cheap hotel, but a hotel nonetheless. We'll have to see what it's like when we get there, but until then we are on the road. Next stop Hoover Dam. A nice concise one.

Well... the simplicity of the previous post was nicely shattered when we approached the Hoover Dam. There had been an accident there earlier in the day where someone was killed, so the road was shut for a while. Despite the road being open before we got anywhere near, the traffic was still backed up for miles. It took hours to get to the actual dam, but when we did it was impressive.
(yes all those cars are at a standstill in traffic) Shame all the visitors stuff was closed by the time we got there. Even the penny punisher was in the closed cafe. G0N managed to find a lady who opened up the door especially so I could get a penny crushed.
Getting into Vegas was fairly painless, and checking into the hotel was crazily fast, we were done in about a minute. The room is really damn cheap but is nice and close to the action and has a nice view of the strip.
We have been watching the news on the TV and it seems like there have been disasters at a few of the places that we have recently visited: Times Square New York, New Orleans, Mississippi, Hoover Dam, and we saw loads of fire trucks and police cars going to the grand canyon when we were leaving. At this rate the whole country will be in ruin come June 15th.
