First Breakfast

After an early night and a fairly good sleep we got up and researched a place to eat our first breakfast on American soil. We decided on Murray Hill Diner which seemed reasonable and had decent reviews. I had griddle cakes and bacon - three thick pancakes and 3 slices of streaky fried bacon. Topped with butter and oodles of maple syrup. I finished feeling full and sticky.

We walked this off by taking a trip to and up the Empire State Building. A lovely clear day gave us a fantastic view of the whole of New York from the 86th floor.

Next came a further walk and subway trip around the city taking in the Chrysler Building and the World Trade Center site.

We're back at the hostel now having a tin of baked beans and bacon on toast.
